Altitude and pressure, together
Altitude describes your height above sea level. Pressure offers another view of your surroundings. Sensnap places both readings alongside recent changes and supports familiar altitude and pressure units.
- See altitude, pressure and the available observation and accuracy information.
- Compare changes on a shared timeline and explore saved readings.
- Choose measurement units that suit your habits, including meters and feet.
Use it on a hike or a highland trip
Check your starting altitude, observe changes while walking, and revisit the recent trend when you stop. Start an iPhone trip to retain the route, or add current altitude and place details to a photo watermark.
- Hiking: connect environmental readings with the route you record.
- Travel: keep the context of different viewpoints and stops.
- Everyday observation: revisit pressure changes at a place over time.
Understand what the readings mean
Available readings depend on device hardware, location conditions and permissions. GPS altitude and barometric measurements have different sources; weather also affects pressure. Read the available accuracy and observation state. Sensnap does not assume every device has a barometer or treat pressure changes alone as a weather forecast. The weather area separately offers temperature, feels-like temperature, wind, humidity and forecasts through an internet-based service.
Make it part of your next outing
- Allow the location and sensor access needed for the readings.
- Check units and accuracy, then observe changes as you move or stop.
- Open history to review saved trends, or add current readings to a photo.
